1/15/03 (the first day of this journal) We've been on the road since 1988 long before we ever dreamed of having a web page.

9:00 am In the middle of our 2nd of 3 shows at Sea Breeze Elementary, Bradenton, FL
12:00 pm Leaving the school
3:00 pm At a toll booth, 528 east (40 mi west of JFK Space Center), FL
6:00 pm Eating dinner at Punjab Indian restaurant in Cocoa Beach, FL
9:00 pm Working on computer, parked right by the beach near Ron Jon's Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, FL - by Myachi guys (met them yesterday at a Kinkos in Orlando - they are fellow "roadies" )

12:00 pm At the post office sending off mail, Cape Canaveral, FL
3:00 pm Driving north on Interstate 95 in a construction zone near rest stop south of exit 305, FL
6:00 pm Driving tree lined highway 10 west entering Nassau County, FL
9:00 pm Highway 221 south, 5 mi out of Perry, FL (our destination)

9:00 am Watching kids file in for 1st show, Taylor County Elementary, Perry, FL
12:00 pm Sitting backstage between 2nd and 3rd show - Kimberly is calling clients and checking itinerary. Zephyr is designing computer games. Dennis is heating lunch. Perry, FL
3:00 pm En route to 4th show (in Tallahassee)- on highway 27N at Waukeenah, FL
6:00 pm Found Kinkos and decided to stop for a minute to check email, Tallahassee, FL

9:00 am entering Animal Kingdom and making a bee-line for the safari ride, Disney World
12:00 pm taking a break from Disney at van. Kimberly: calling clients in Arkansas and Dennis is getting lunch together, Animal Kingdom parking lot
3:00 pm screaming our heads off on the Tower of Terror, MGM
6:00 pm enjoying a nice quiet boat ride to Epcot (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow)
9:00 pm on the bus leaving Epcot, going back to our van in the Animal Kingdom parking lot (our last day of a 5 day pass - oh well, back to reality tomorrow!)

9:00 am St Lucie's school setting up for show, Fort Pierce, FL
12:00 pm Kimberly designing posters; Zephyr math; Dennis composing music back- stage during lunch break between 2nd and 3rd shows, St Lucie's School, Fort Pierce, FL
3:00 pm driving south on interstate - 95; Dennis and Zephyr having music lesson
6:00 pm at a mall in Palm Springs, FL

1/24/03

9:00 am Frantically looking for performance place-- we should be there starting to set up now, Boca Raton, FL
12:00 pm leaving performance site in Boca Raton, FL (We made it to the show and even managed to start on time! Performed for homeschoolers and were invited back next year.)
3:00 pm experiencing engine problems, Port Lucia, FL (Heat gauge reading extremely HOT - fixed in 2 minutes by mechanics a few miles down the road. Wish all of our mechanical problems were so easily resolved!)
6:00 pm back on the road heading north on interstate 95 at exit 138
9:00 pm leaving Kinko's, Melbourne, FL

9:00 am dropping film off at one-hour development in Titusville, FL
12:00 pm listening to astronaut Charlie Walker speak about his flight experiences at NASA JFK Space Center
3:00 pm on tour bus passing a bald eagle's nest, JFK Space Center
6:00 pm getting patch for "Salute to Scout Day" at NASA JFK Space Center
9:00 pm reading at Barnes and Noble in Daytona Beach, FL (across the street from NASCAR race track)

9:00 am Savannah, GA (first night we've spent anywhere in Georgia)
12:00 pm at Kinko's- Kimberly is updating web site, Dennis making hotel reservations online, Zephyr doing schoolwork, Savannah, GA
3:00 pm leaving Kinko's, Savannah, GA
6:00 pm "pit stop" in Walterboro, SC Dennis and Zephyr buying some fireworks (for a movie Z is writing) and Kimberly calling clients
9:00 pm tooling along at 55 mph pass 26n exit #97 Columbia, NC

1/29/03

9:00 am doing laundry while the van is getting an oil leak fixed, Asheville, NC
12:00 pm still at the laundry mat, Zephyr is doing his writing lesson, Kimberly working on the itinerary, Asheville, NC
3:00 pm cyber cafe for some tea and Internet access, just got word van is ready, Asheville, NC
6:00 pm at Barnes and Noble Bookstore to kill a couple of hours before heading north (after having the wiring in the van start to catch fire and another trip back to the mechanics) - Asheville, NC
9:00 pm passing exit 15 on 40 west, Kimberly negotiating mountainous curves, NC - Dennis in the back seat writing poetry, Zephyr writing a screen play he is planning to film with friends in April when we are in Los Angeles, CA

3:00 pm just picked up mail! Harrisonburg, VA (we get mail forwarded about once a month - so this is like Christmas)
