I'm Zephyr your act!vated guide

Hey Act!vated Kids

Hi! My name is Zephyr. I'm 17 years old and I've been traveling since I was a toddler. I travel all over the United States with my parents doing shows. I've been performing on stage since I was 3. We do about 200 shows a year. I hope to meet you at one of our shows someday. Hopefully at your school or maybe at your towns' library.

Act!vated Story Park

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 enthusiasts can now explore rides and attractions based on folktales from around the world.

Play on the horses, unicorns, and mythical creatures on a merry-go-round. Wander through twisted mazes and corridors. Is the room really sideways or is it just your imagination? Or ride dueling rollercoasters, Cortez and Montezuma, that will take you within inches of each other on a high-speed chase that will leave you breathless!

Performance Opportunity

You can be in the show!

Kids get into the act! photo by Karen Hoogland

Do you like to clown around and perform? Have you ever wanted to get up on stage and be in the show? Well here is the chance you've been waiting for! (that is if you are a kid between the ages of 6 and 14)

Come to the Act!vated Storytellers' pre-show acting workshop and you'll get a part in the show, whether you have experience or not. We'll give you some acting tips, teach you a dance and give you some lines to speak. Sure it's a challenge, but wait until you hear the applause!

Here's how to get a part in the show:

  • First check the performance schedule for show locations in your community (most public shows are at libraries and are free to attend).
  • Mark your calendar and tell your parents about your plans (they'll want to bring the camera and grandma and grandpa!)
  • Have your parents help you send the Act!vated Storytellers an email to sign-up in advance. This is not necessary but strongly advised - as parts are limited. Include your name, age, show location, date and time (see performance schedule).
Remember: never give out your address or phone number to anyone on the Internet.
  • IMPORTANT! Come 30 minutes early to attend the free acting workshop. Yep, it's free and it's tons of fun, but you must arrive 30 minutes before the show begins - no exceptions. If you are not there 30 minutes early, someone else will get your part - even if you signed up in advance. Questions?? Send us an email.

Meet Zephyr's cousins, Jenny and Joey. They helped make the props for "Quizzical Quests". Jenny, age 10, learned to sew and made the clouds, fake money, gold nuggets and lucky horse shoes. Joey, age 12, repaired his aunt's sewing machine (saving a week's worth of work) and invented an enchanted pearl that actually lights up.
